Alisa Amador
Praised by NPR’s Bob Boilen as a “powerful voice whose tender performance commands attention and fosters connection,” Alisa Amador made history in 2022 with the first-ever Spanish language song to win NPR’s prestigious Tiny Desk Contest.
Slipping effortlessly between Spanish and English, Alisa’s songs are a fierce work of discovery and affirmation, a profound, revelatory meditation on triumph and loss, endings and beginnings, identity and belonging.
Amador’s passion for music is no coincidence. She began singing with Sol Y Canto, the Pan-Latin ensemble founded by her parents, Rosi and Brian Amador, at the age of five and spent much of her childhood traveling the country on an endless series of tours.
Her stunning debut solo album, Multitudes, offers a bold, captivating self-portrait and has earned her dates with everyone from Hozier and Brandi Carlile to Lake Street Dive and Maggie Rogers.

Vance Gilbert
By popular demand, we bring back one of Season One’s favorites, Vance Gilbert!
Considered by many to be an integral part of the national folk scene–and one of the originators of the finally recognized R&B/Folk/Jazz crossover-subgenre–this Boston-based stalwart has recorded 14 albums to date. He’s been the opener of choice for artists as varied as Arlo Guthrie, Anita Baker, The Milk Carton Kids, and Southside Johnny, and he even opened 150+ shows for comic legend George Carlin. Besides his own busy touring schedule, he’s currently the regular opener for Mad About You/Stranger Things star Paul Reiser’s stand-up shows. He even has a tune on a Grammy-nominated children’s album. How rounded is that?

Rob Flax’s Boom Chick Trio
Back by popular demand, we’re thrilled to bring back Rob Flax’s Boom Chick Trio to the New Song stage. Flax is an award-winning virtuoso violinist, classically trained but known for his jazz and improvisational pyrotechnics and irresistible grooves. He is also a powerhouse vocalist, capable of silky crooning à la Nat King Cole as well as visceral Chicago blues shouts. Rob has performed nationally and internationally with artists such as B.B. King and Tower of Power and has written music for choreographers, films, and several original projects.
Rob Flax’s Boom Chick Trio is a Boston-based, genre-defying supergroup that features Slava Tolstoy, guitarist, singer, and producer, originally from St. Petersburg, Russia. His International String Trio fuses Gypsy Jazz with World Music, and Slava has toured across the United States many times on guitar. Rounding out the group is bassist Felix Sartori, who has performed with the likes of Peter Rowan and Twisted Pine and from Anchorage, Alaska, to Accra, Ghana.

The Nields
With 21 albums, major and independent record and publishing deals, and performances with 10,000 Maniacs, The Band, James Taylor, and The Indigo Girls, The Nields have forged a musical legacy that continues to captivate audiences around the world. Blending pop craftsmanship, folk sensibility, and the influences of ’60s classic rock and ’90s alternative, their distinctive musical style defies categorization. Their most recent album, Circle of Days, is an homage to the calendar and time, a collection of songs that is a testament to the band’s enduring creativity and unwavering commitment to their craft.
“As the work of The Everly Brothers or The McGarrigle Sisters has amply demonstrated, there are few sounds as sublime as close harmonies rendered by siblings. In the case of western Massachusetts folk rockers The Nields, the siblings are sisters Nerissa and Katryna Nields, and their inimitable vocal blend is a disarming mix of clean folk harmonies and clenched Generation-X angst.” The Chicago Tribune
